Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Competition Committee has identified violations of competition legislation in a tender with an initial value of 15.5 billion soums organized for JSC Navoi Suv Ta’minoti. The committee’s press service reported the findings.

The review was conducted following an appeal by one of the business entities. During its examination of the tender, the committee’s specialists established that Navoi Suv Ta’minoti had failed to comply with requirements of Uzbekistan’s Law on Competition.

Following the violations identified, the committee’s Special Commission opened a case against Navoi Suv Ta’minoti for breaching competition legislation.

After considering the case in accordance with the established procedure, a decision was made to impose a financial penalty on the company.

In addition, the Competition Committee issued Navoi Suv Ta’minoti with mandatory instructions.

The company is required to eliminate the identified violations of legislation and prevent similar cases from occurring in the future.

The Competition Committee’s statement did not specify the amount of the financial penalty or the specific provisions of the legislation that were violated.
