Business Ombudsman Detects 6,350 Repeat Business Inspections
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Since the beginning of 2026, 23 regulatory authorities in Uzbekistan have conducted repeat inspections of 6,350 business entities, according to data published by the Business Ombudsman, which continuously monitors the legality and frequency of business inspections.
According to the analysis, most businesses were subjected to two repeat inspections. A total of 5,285 entities were inspected twice, 849 were inspected three times, and 216 businesses underwent four inspections.
The Tax Committee carried out the largest number of repeat inspections, conducting 4,573, or 72% of the total. This was significantly higher than the figures reported for other regulatory authorities.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations ranked second with 1,209 repeat inspections, accounting for 19% of the total. It was followed by Uzenergoinspektsiya with 142 inspections, the Transport Supervision Inspectorate with 78, and the Construction and Housing and Utilities Supervision Inspectorate with 61.
Several agencies carried out almost no repeat inspections. The Veterinary Committee conducted one such inspection, while the State Financial Control Inspectorate, the Quarantine Agency, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and Uzkomnazorat each conducted two.
By region, the largest number of businesses subjected to repeat inspections was recorded in Tashkent, with 1,506 cases. Samarkand region followed with 808 cases, Ferghana region with 503, Kashkadarya region with 415, and Tashkent region with 397.
According to the Business Ombudsman, the capital accounts for nearly one-quarter of all business entities subjected to repeat inspections since the beginning of the year.
