Arslanbek Tojiev Wins Silver at Lausanne Grand Slam

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan national team judoka Arslanbek Tojiev won a silver medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Lausanne, earning the Uzbek team its second medal at the competition.

Competing in the 81kg category, Tojiev successfully advanced through the preliminary rounds, defeating all of his opponents to reach the final.

In the decisive bout, the Uzbek judoka faced Kazakhstan’s Ablaihan Zhubanazar. Tojiev lost the contest and finished second.

The result gave Uzbekistan its second medal at the ongoing Grand Slam tournament in Lausanne.
