Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Law enforcement officers have discovered a stash containing 2 kg and 875 grams of marijuana buried beneath the foundation of a residential house in Shofirkon district, Bukhara region.
The operation was conducted jointly by the regional customs department's anti-smuggling unit, the State Security Service and internal affairs authorities, based on previously obtained intelligence.
During the operation, officers searched the home of a citizen who had been under surveillance. The search, conducted in the presence of witnesses, uncovered a buried stash of narcotics beneath the building's foundation.
The customs authorities opened a criminal case. Relevant investigative bodies are currently conducting a preliminary investigation.
