Uztransgaz starts gas supplies to Ferghana Valley through Kazakhstan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uztransgaz started gas supplies to Andijan, Ferghana and Namangan regions of Uzbekistan through Kazakhstan.

Uztransgaz JSC and Kazakhstan’s KazTransGas signed an agreement on transportation of Uzbek natural gas through Kazakhstan to provide consumers of the Ferghana Valley.

Under the treaty, Uzbekistan will supply gas from the Gazli underground gas storage facility to the Ferghana Valley customers via the Gazli-Shymkent-Tashkent-Pungan gas pipeline.

Under the terms of the agreement, up to 1 billion cubic meters of Uzbek gas should be transported through Kazakhstan.
