Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uztemiryulyulovchi, a subsidiary of Uzbekistan Railways, has launched the ElektroPoyezd app for passengers using suburban electric trains.
The service allows users to view schedules and purchase tickets online, the company’s press service said.
Users can search for the required services, access route information and detailed schedules for commuter trains, and view their travel history.
When purchasing a ticket through ElektroPoyezd, passengers receive an electronic document with a QR code. The code can be shown to a ticket inspector even without an internet connection.
The app also allows passengers to purchase subscriptions for suburban electric trains for periods ranging from one month to one year.
ElektroPoyezd is available for devices running Android 8.0 and later, as well as iPhones running iOS 15 and later.
The expansion of digital services comes amid efforts to expand suburban rail connections in Tashkent Region. In September 2025, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed authorities to ensure that all districts of the region were connected to the capital by high-speed electric trains.
Following a meeting, officials said improved transport connectivity should stimulate the development of housing and infrastructure in the region and create conditions for residents to commute to Tashkent for work on a daily basis.
Since July, a new six-car EP3D electric train has been operating on the Tashkent–Gulistan–Bekabad route.
In early September, another train began operating to Parkent along a newly constructed railway line.
