Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Shareholders of national postal operator O’zbekiston pochtasi (UzPost) have elected a new nine-member supervisory board for a three-year term, according to data from the Unified Portal of Corporate Information.
Five of the nine new board members are affiliated with RVB LLC, the parent company of Wildberries & Russ.
The new supervisory board includes WB INT EXPORT LLC CEO Akmal Primkulov, RVB Investment and Control Department Director Evgeny Mitin, RVB Deputy Director of the Legal Department Emil Khasyanov, RVB Finance Director Pavel Logunov and VB Bank Regional Development Management Department Director Alexandra Khmeleva.
The government side of the new board is represented by First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Oleg Pekos, Accounts Chamber specialist Shakhzod Usarov and Head of the Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance Muzzafar Astonakulov. Independent member Roger Crook also joined the board.
The powers of the previous supervisory board were terminated ahead of schedule. All shareholders who participated in the vote supported the decision.
The extraordinary general meeting of UzPost shareholders was held on 21 September with a quorum of 93.69%. The meeting minutes were drawn up on 30 September, while information on the material event was published on the Unified Portal of Corporate Information on 2 October.
Loan issue
The meeting also considered a major transaction. In particular, shareholders were asked to take note of an opinion issued by Nazorat audit LLC on 7 September following a review of the transaction terms, arrange a 100 billion soum loan for UzPost from WB INT EXPORT LLC at the Central Bank’s refinancing rate and approve a repayment schedule.
The proposal also provided for the buyback of company shares at market value at shareholders’ request by 2 November, followed by their cancellation.
All shareholders who voted on the issue, representing 100% of those voting, abstained. As a result, the proposed resolutions were not adopted.

Wildberries’ press service said the company’s representatives joined the UzPost supervisory board to modernise the postal operator and improve the quality and speed of its services.
The company also said that, in its view, the participation of Wildberries representatives on the board could contribute to the development of e-commerce in Uzbekistan. The postal service will continue operating as usual, while new development opportunities are expected to be linked to investment and technological support.
