Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The international rating agency S&P Global has assigned an ESG rating to Uzkimyosanoat JSC, reflecting the company’s adherence to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards, the company reported.
According to the assessment, Uzkimyosanoat received a score of 29 points.
The agency highly rated the company’s efforts in several key areas:
Leadership in business ethics, including strict anti-corruption standards.
Ensuring occupational health and safety through effective security measures.
Enhancing transparency and corporate governance, strengthening reporting and internal controls.
The assignment of the ESG rating confirms the company’s commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility, as well as its compliance with international standards. Chemical industry companies are actively adopting environmentally friendly technologies and responsible business practices, fostering a transparent corporate culture.
Having an ESG rating strengthens trust among international partners and investors, creating new opportunities for attracting sustainable financing, implementing green projects, and expanding into global markets.
Previously, Uzkimyosanoat was also assigned a BB- international rating by Fitch Ratings. The company stated that it will continue implementing ESG initiatives, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable development principles.
