Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan produced 310,389 passenger cars in January-August 2026, up 9.2% from 284,352 vehicles in the same period of 2025, according to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

Cobalt remained the most-produced model, with 107,141 vehicles manufactured during the eight-month period, an 8.2% increase from 99,013 a year earlier.

Damas production declined by 4.9%, from 57,882 to 55,022 vehicles. An additional 1,530 CHEVROLET DAMAS MOVE vehicles were produced, while there had been no production of this model in January-August 2025.

Tracker production amounted to 29,781 vehicles, down 0.5% from 29,930 a year earlier. Onix production increased by 16.1%, from 20,241 to 23,498 vehicles.

BYD recorded the largest increase among the listed brands, with production rising 84.5% from 12,930 to 23,850 vehicles.

KIA production increased by 12.9% to 19,374 vehicles, while Haval production rose 17.4% to 6,227. Chery production declined by 2.7%, from 5,909 to 5,751 vehicles.

A total of 42 TANK 500 vehicles were produced in January-August 2025, but no vehicles of this model were manufactured during the same period of 2026.

Production of specialized passenger cars increased by 6.3%, from 35,936 to 38,215 vehicles.

Truck production rose by 42%, from 2,714 to 3,855 vehicles.

Automotive engine production reached 160,675 units, up 6.9% from 150,254 in January-August 2025. However, the figure remained below the 163,570 engines produced during the same period of 2024.
