Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan won three more silver medals at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, with Firdavs Atamuradov, Darya Latysheva and Hilola Sobirova claiming the medals in a single day. The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan reported this.
In mixed martial arts (MMA), in the modern category in the up to 60 kg weight class, Atamuradov won the silver medal. He lost to Tajikistan’s Mirzobek Umarov in the final. The medal became Uzbekistan’s second silver at the current Games.
Latysheva won silver in the demonstration program of the wushu competition, scoring 19.413 points. For the wushu master of sport, the medal was her third at the current Asian Games.
Another silver medal for Uzbekistan was won by Sobirova, who competed in the traditional MMA category among women in the up to 60 kg weight class. She lost to Singapore’s Hung Teo in the final.
