Uzbekistan Senate to Hold Plenary Session on 9 July
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis has scheduled the 17th plenary session of the upper house of parliament for 9 July 2026.
The session's agenda includes a number of issues dedicated to the country's socioeconomic development, public administration, construction, technical regulation, fire safety, the pharmaceutical industry, social protection, digital technologies, international cooperation, and the improvement of legislation.
Senators will consider the constitutional laws "On the Tashkent International Financial Centre" and "On the International Centre for Digital Technologies," as well as the law "On Social Work."
In addition, there are plans to discuss legislative initiatives concerning the social protection of children, improving the system for providing social services to victims of harassment and violence, state control in the field of construction, technical regulation, fire safety, the state civil service, pharmaceuticals, and other areas.
During the meeting, senators will also hear the National Report on improving the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in priority international ratings and indices.
A separate agenda item will be the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the quality of services provided by management service companies and housing partnerships.
