Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan, together with a delegation from JSC “Uzbek Technological Metals Plant” (TMK), took part in the international investment forum Altai Invest–2025, held in East Kazakhstan Region, Dunyo news agency reported.

The forum brought together government officials, business representatives, and investors. The event opened a large exhibition area where around 50 regional enterprises showcased projects in industry, agro-industrial complex, energy, and tourism.

As part of the business program, B2B meetings were held to discuss the development prospects of the mining and metallurgical sector, technological and processing industries, and industrial cooperation.

The TMK delegation held negotiations with the management of JSC “KazZinc” and the Ulba Metallurgical Plant, during which the parties discussed mutually beneficial cooperation in deep processing of raw materials and expanding the product value chain.

As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached to jointly explore processing and production of rare and rare-earth metals, including tantalum, niobium, beryllium, selenium, antimony, bismuth, vanadium, titanium, magnesium, tungsten, and molybdenum.

The parties also discussed joint exploration of new deposits and the supply of cemented carbide equipment.
