Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan imported 18,900 tonnes of mutton worth US$43.8 million in January-July 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Compared with the same period in 2025, mutton imports increased by 5,200 tonnes, or 37.7%.
Kazakhstan was the largest supplier of mutton to the Uzbek market, accounting for 16,900 tonnes of imported products.
Mongolia supplied 891.3 tonnes of mutton, while Russia supplied 635.7 tonnes. A further 517.2 tonnes came from other countries.
Thus, Kazakhstan accounted for the bulk of Uzbekistan’s mutton imports during the first seven months of 2026.
