Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Kyrgyzstan’s national futsal team produced a major upset, defeating Uzbekistan 3-2 to claim first place in Group F of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Indonesia 2026 qualifiers.

The match, played on Wednesday, began with Kyrgyzstan in control. In the 13th minute, Maksat Alimov opened the scoring after a cross from Islam Turatbekov. By the 22nd minute, Tilek Janat Uulu doubled the lead with a powerful strike, and in the 26th minute Kairat Kubanychov made it 3-0 after a pass from Mukhamed Askarbekov.

Uzbekistan, struggling in both defense and finishing, managed to reduce the deficit only in the closing stages. In the 38th minute, Khusniddin Nishonov found the net, and moments later Ilhomjon Khamroev added a second. However, there was not enough time for a full comeback, and Kyrgyzstan held on for the win.

As a result, Kyrgyzstan finished top of Group F, while Uzbekistan advanced as one of the best second-placed teams in the qualifiers.
