Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Preschool and School Education and Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation have been reorganized into a single Ministry of Education and Science. The decision was made under a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The reform is aimed at creating a unified system of education, upbringing and science that meets modern requirements, as well as improving the quality and efficiency of education and developing human capital.
One of the key objectives is to ensure integration and continuity between different levels and types of education. The reform provides for the creation of a unified management system covering the entire education cycle, from preschool to higher education, as well as scientific activities.
The changes also seek to increase the accountability of the education and science system to society.
The merger of the relevant agencies is intended to ensure more consistent interaction between different stages of education and the scientific sector within a unified management system.
