Uzbekistan, China discuss stronger bilateral cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met with Zhao Leji, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, to discuss the development of bilateral relations. Mirziyoyeva reported on the meeting.
The sides discussed Uzbekistan-China relations, which, according to Mirziyoyeva, have been steadily strengthening in recent years through close dialogue between the leaders of the two countries.
Particular attention was paid to interparliamentary cooperation. Mirziyoyeva said dialogue between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and China was also reaching a new level.
The two sides also discussed joint work on specific projects in transport, trade, education and culture. Mirziyoyeva stressed the importance of China's support and the two countries' readiness to consistently implement agreements reached.
According to Mirziyoyeva, Uzbekistan and China have a significant number of joint plans, while their consistent implementation remains a key priority.
