Uzbekistan awards posthumous honors to cultural figures

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a group of cultural, artistic, and literary figures has been awarded posthumously for their contribution to the development of the country’s spiritual sphere, strengthening cultural and educational foundations, and promoting the principles of humanism and patriotism.

The awards include the orders “Buyuk xizmatlari uchun,” “El-yurt hurmati,” “Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun,” and “Mehnat shuhrati.”

The Order “Buyuk xizmatlari uchun” was awarded to:

Abbasov Shukhrat Salikhovich — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, film director
Azamov Gani — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actor
Yokubova Odila — People’s Writer of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Sadrieva Zainab — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actress
Umarov Khamza — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actor
Yunusov Obidjon — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actor

The Order “El-yurt hurmati” was awarded to:

Khashimov Utkir — People’s Writer of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Order “Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun” was awarded to:

Zunnunova Saida — Honored Cultural Worker of the Republic of Uzbekistan, poet and writer
Khamidova Manzura — People’s Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, actress
Khotamova Orifkhon — People’s Hafiz of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The Order “Mehnat shuhrati” was awarded to:
