Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In Samarkand, Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, Gayane Umerova, held a meeting with the Minister of Culture and Youth of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of UNESCO and the expansion of bilateral cultural partnership.
Special attention was given to joint initiatives, including Uzbekistan’s participation in the Al Burda Award ceremony at the Louvre Abu Dhabi and preparations for a new exhibition supported by the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
The sides also discussed projects in the fields of arts, crafts, contemporary art, and the creative economy — including the organization of artist residencies, master classes, educational programs, and the exchange of expertise in museum management and digital heritage.
The meeting reaffirmed the mutual commitment of Uzbekistan and the UAE to strengthening cultural dialogue and developing joint initiatives in the fields of heritage, art, and the creative economy.
