Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In Kazan, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sodik Safoev, met with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.
The parties emphasized that strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation continue to strengthen, with the Republic of Tatarstan playing a special role in this process.
Sodik Safoev noted the personal contribution of Rustam Minnikhanov to the comprehensive development of the region, which has become one of the most dynamic and innovative in Russia.
During the talks, prospects for further expansion of bilateral cooperation were discussed. In recent years, a number of joint projects have been implemented in the oil and gas, petrochemical, automotive, industrial, and agricultural sectors. Special attention was given to the field of education: in Jizzakh, a branch of Kazan Federal University operates successfully, reflecting the collaboration between the regions.
Following the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to intensify practical cooperation, expand joint projects, and continue strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan.
