Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The second round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Serbia was held via videoconference.

The Uzbek delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Madrahimov, while the Serbian side was led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Damjan Jović.

During the consultations, the parties discussed prospects for expanding Uzbek-Serbian cooperation, with a focus on the economic sphere — including industry, agriculture, energy, information and communication technologies, tourism, and renewable energy. Special attention was given to the creation of joint ventures and the engagement of business communities from both countries in investment projects.

The sides expressed their readiness to enhance inter-parliamentary contacts and strengthen exchanges in education, science, and culture. They also discussed improvements to the legal framework of cooperation, visa regulations, labor migration, and coordination within international and regional organizations.
