Uzbekistan and Generium Discuss Biopharma Joint Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Azizov, held negotiations with the management of JSC Generium during a working visit to Russia. The talks focused on developing cooperation in biotechnology and implementing joint investment projects.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the production of biotechnological medicines, technology transfer, the implementation of innovative investment projects, and the development of modern biopharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities within Uzbekistan.

The participants also discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in scientific research, establishing high-tech manufacturing facilities, upgrading the qualifications of Uzbek specialists, and executing joint initiatives.

Following the meeting, both sides noted that the reached agreements establish a solid foundation for the further evolution of bilateral cooperation, the introduction of advanced technologies into Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, and the accelerated growth of biotechnological production in the country.
