Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov met with Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), on 5 October.

During the talks, the sides discussed comprehensive reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector and prospects for further developing cooperation with FAO.

Bakhtiyor Saidov noted the development of Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

According to him, cooperation in priority areas is developing consistently and maintaining strong momentum.

Particular attention was paid to further giving new substance to Uzbekistan’s cooperation with FAO, taking into account the ongoing transformations in the country’s agricultural sector.
