Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law on the ratification of a military framework agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Turkiye.

The law was passed by the Legislative Chamber on 8 November 2022 and approved by the Senate on 18 November 2022.

The agreement was signed on 29 March 2022 during the visit of the President of the Republic of Turkiye to Uzbekistan.

The agreement is aimed at further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkiye in such areas as military training and military education, development of defense industry cooperation, logistics cooperation, cartography and hydrography, exchange of experience in combating mines and improvised explosive devices.

Cooperation activities in these areas are included in the annual plans of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkiye.
