Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 3 May 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with the Minister of European and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic Jean-Yves Le Drian.

The ministers discussed the state and prospects of the Uzbek-French multifaceted cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

Proposals on the agenda and schedule of upcoming joint events at various levels were considered, including the next meeting of the Uzbek-French intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation and the second ministerial meeting in the France-Central Asia format.

They also exchanged views on certain aspects of regional issues.

At the end of the conversation, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan again voiced an invitation to the French side to the International High-Level Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectedness. Challenges and Opportunities”, which will be held in July 2021 in Tashkent.
