Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ucell ranked first in Uzbekistan for 5G network coverage with an nPerf index of 30.32%, while UzMobile led in 4G coverage with a score of 93.28%.
According to the nPerf barometer, UzMobile ranked second in 5G coverage with a score of 22.90%. The difference between the two operators was therefore 7.42 percentage points.
In the 4G segment, Ucell ranked second with a coverage rate of 91.32%. Beeline was third at 89.43%, while Mobiuz ranked fourth at 86.24%.
The study did not provide 5G coverage data for Beeline and Mobiuz.
At the regional level, the highest 5G coverage rate was recorded in Tashkent at 76.9%. The lowest result was recorded in Tashkent Region at 22.0%.
The nPerf study compares the coverage of Ucell, UzMobile, Beeline and Mobiuz networks at the national and regional levels.
The results show that 5G networks in Uzbekistan still cover a limited area, while 4G has achieved significantly wider coverage.
“Uzbekistan’s telecommunications market is at the stage of developing 5G technology, while 4G is already forming a solid foundation covering a significant part of the country’s population and territory,” said nPerf CEO Sébastien de Rosbo.
The measurements were based on tests conducted by users through the nPerf Android application.
nPerf describes itself as an independent platform for measuring internet connection quality based on real-world user experience.
According to the company, results from millions of tests are used to analyse network performance and prepare comparative studies.
