UAE Extradites Fraud Suspects to Uzbekistan via Interpol
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The National Central Bureaus (NCB) of Interpol in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi have conducted a successful joint operation to extradite internationally wanted individuals to Uzbekistan.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the detained individuals are accused of committing large-scale fraudulent acts.
The transfer of the suspects to Uzbek law enforcement authorities was made possible through close interagency cooperation, as well as the comprehensive support of the official representative of the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs assigned to the Consulate General in Dubai.
The wanted individuals were successfully escorted by Interpol officers and delivered to the territory of Uzbekistan.
The detainees have now been placed at the disposal of investigative authorities to undergo the complex of necessary procedural measures; a court will provide the final legal assessment of their actions.
