Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Changes have been made to the management boards of two state-owned banks in Uzbekistan, with the deputy chairmen of Turonbank and Microcreditbank dismissed from their positions.

Zohidjon Obidov, deputy chairman of the board of Turonbank, had his powers terminated ahead of schedule effective 29 September.

Sodir Melibaev, deputy chairman of the board of Microcreditbank, was also dismissed from his position.

According to Turonbank’s decision, the move was made in connection with tasks set out in an instruction issued by the Deputy Prime Minister on 16 September, as well as a critical letter from the Central Bank dated 4 September.
