Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Tashkent Region and the China Association of Circular Economy (CACE) discussed prospects for cooperation in resource efficiency, waste recycling and the introduction of modern technologies, the Tashkent Region administration said.
The meeting between Tashkent Region Governor Zoir Mirzaev and CACE representatives was held as part of the regional delegation’s working visit to China.
The sides considered the introduction of circular economy principles in the industry and agriculture of Tashkent Region, efficient resource use, the development of waste recycling and the attraction of modern technologies.
The China Association of Circular Economy is a national non-profit organisation promoting the development of the circular economy in China. Established in 1995, it works in areas including industrial park modernisation, waste recycling and the development of “zero-waste cities.”
During the talks, the sides discussed opportunities to implement joint projects, introduce advanced technologies and attract investment, as well as apply China’s experience in Tashkent Region.
Following the meeting, the sides expressed interest in further practical cooperation in environmentally sustainable production and efficient resource use.
