Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Tashkent City Digital Development Department discussed cooperation with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and its resident companies. The meeting was held on 25 September as part of ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026.
Representatives of HKSTP and companies Showmac, eSIX and Cogniser took part in the talks. The sides discussed international experience in applying digital technologies and artificial intelligence-based solutions, opportunities to adapt Smart City technologies to Tashkent’s conditions and prospects for implementing joint projects.
Representatives of the Hong Kong companies presented their technological solutions. In particular, eSIX demonstrated solutions for continuous and secure communications combining 4G and 5G networks with fiber-optic and satellite technologies. They are designed for use in transport, video surveillance systems, utilities and other urban infrastructure.
Cogniser presented artificial intelligence-based solutions for managing urban systems, security, education and industrial monitoring.
Showmac presented smart devices and educational solutions combining artificial intelligence, information and communication technologies and telecommunications technologies.
Particular attention was paid to the potential integration of the presented technologies into Tashkent’s digital management systems, transport and urban infrastructure, education, security and monitoring systems.
The prospective solutions are expected to be tested initially on a pilot basis. Based on the results of the trials, the possibility of wider implementation in the relevant areas of urban infrastructure may be considered.
