Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Comprehensive energy audits of apartment buildings in Tashkent began on 21 September with the participation of World Bank specialists, the Tashkent city administration’s press service reported.
The buildings selected for the audit are those that were heated in violation of regulatory requirements during the previous heating season.
As part of the energy audit, specialists will assess the technical and energy condition of the buildings, including exterior walls, roofs and basements, doors and windows, internal heating systems, and the efficiency of heat energy use.
Foreign specialists will also conduct instrumental measurements, identify the main sources of heat loss in each building and develop technical solutions to address them.
Based on the results of the energy audits, a methodology for efficient heating of apartment buildings in Tashkent is planned to be developed. The methodology will take into account the technical condition and energy efficiency of buildings, the level of heat losses and other indicators.
The city administration said the methodology will serve as a basis for assessing the energy efficiency of apartment buildings, identifying buildings requiring modernization, and developing measures to reduce heat losses and ensure the efficient use of electricity and natural gas.
