Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Spain won their second FIFA World Cup title after defeating Argentina 1-0 in the tournament final.

Ferran Torres scored the decisive goal in the 106th minute of extra time. Regulation time at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, ended goalless.

Spain controlled much of the match, registering 15 shots, including 10 on target. Argentina failed to register a single shot on Spain's goal during regulation time of the final.

Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez was sent off in second-half stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card.

Spain claimed the FIFA World Cup title for the second time in their history. The national team first won the tournament in 2010.
