Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan has signed a decree awarding Shukhratjon Nabiev, head of the Shashmakom ensemble “Nuri Niyogon” from Sughd Region, Tajikistan, with the “Dustlik” Order.
The high state honor was conferred in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of comprehensive cooperation and the strengthening of friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, as well as for promoting the centuries-old traditions of friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
The decree highlights Nabiev’s achievements in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, his many years of creative work, and active participation in preserving and promoting the art of Shashmakom. It also notes his contribution to advancing the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people on the international stage.
Furthermore, the decree emphasizes his efforts in preserving and developing shared values and traditions that unite the peoples of both nations.
