Samarkand Region and Combined Group Contracting Discuss Infrastructure
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khokim of Samarkand region Adiz Boboev held an official meeting with Abdulrauf Al Rahman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the large Kuwaiti diversified corporation Combined Group Contracting Company.
The negotiations, organized on the sidelines of an international investment forum, were dedicated to attracting Middle Eastern capital into the construction and infrastructure sectors of the region, as well as modernizing transport and engineering networks.
During the dialogue, Adiz Boboev presented a detailed overview of the economic and industrial potential of Samarkand region to the Kuwaiti delegation, paying special attention to the preferences created for foreign partners and successful cases involving foreign capital.
In turn, Abdulrauf Al Rahman stated the company's high interest in investing in the construction sector of the region. The Kuwaiti side named projects for the construction of modern residential complexes and commercial retail properties in the developing town of Shirin as the most promising vector.
In addition to housing development, the sides reviewed in detail opportunities for long-term cooperation in related industries, including road construction, the comprehensive renewal of engineering and communication networks, and the development of transport infrastructure and logistics hubs.
Representatives of Combined Group Contracting Company highly praised the institutional reforms and investment climate in the region, confirming their readiness to move to the practical implementation stage of the projects.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to begin detailed development of specific project proposals in the construction and infrastructure spheres.
