Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Russian regional delegations visiting Ferghana region toured the Margilan Youth Industrial and Entrepreneurship Zone, where they viewed an exhibition of leather and footwear products made by local entrepreneurs.

The exhibition featured products from 60 entrepreneurs in the city working in the leather and footwear industry.

Margilan has significant experience in leather production. The industry’s accumulated potential, combined with modern production capabilities, is being used to create new types of products and implement manufacturing projects.

Around 30 projects have currently been launched in the Youth Industrial and Entrepreneurship Zone. Several of them specialise in the production of leather and footwear products.

During the exhibition, representatives of Russian regions reviewed the range of products made by local entrepreneurs and familiarised themselves with the production processes.

Participants noted that leather and footwear products from Margilan are in demand in foreign markets.

The exhibition provided an opportunity to showcase the city’s leather industry production potential to the Russian delegations, as well as create opportunities for establishing new partnerships and expanding access for local products to foreign markets.
