Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — In the first quarter of 2025, the volume of money transfers to Uzbekistan reached US$3.3 billion. This represents a 32% increase compared to the same period last year, when inflows amounted to US$2.5 billion, according to data from the Central Bank.
It is noted that in January and February of this year, the volume of transfers exceeded US$1 billion each month, while in March it approached US$1.2 billion.
The growth in money transfers is attributed, in particular, to the strengthening of the currencies of countries that are Uzbekistan’s main trading partners, as well as an increase in migration flows to countries with higher wage levels.
