More than 34,000 people in prisons in Uzbekistan voted in elections

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- This 2023, prisoners serving sentences for committing crimes of minor or public danger, as well as for committing grave and especially grave crimes, in accordance with the newly adopted Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, will be able to take part in presidential elections for the first time.

This right has been granted to more than 34,000 convicts.
