Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 27 October 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov took part in a regular meeting of the heads of foreign affairs of the states - Afghanistan’s closest neighbors, held in Tehran.
In his speech, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan noted that today a completely new reality has developed in Afghanistan. A Provisional Government has been created, which has full authority and seeks to gain international recognition.

It was stated that in the foreseeable future Afghanistan will remain an important factor of regional security, directly affecting the national interests of regional countries, first of all, neighboring states.
It was especially emphasized that at the present stage it is necessary to develop a post-conflict strategy with regard to Afghanistan in order to prevent the international isolation of this country.
The forum participants noted the key importance of consolidating the efforts of the international community in the issue of rebuilding the Afghan economy, providing emergency humanitarian and other assistance to the friendly Afghan people.
