Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On approval of a target program for the installation of energy-efficient solar systems to increase thermal protection of buildings in all regions of the republic and heating water in boiler rooms of the republic in 2020 –2022" was published for discussion.

The document also approves a program to optimize energy consumption in multi-storey residential buildings for heating and cooling needs in all regions of the republic by increasing thermal protection of buildings, introducing energy efficient technologies, and installing renewable energy sources in 2020–2022. In addition, it is envisaged to approve a program for the installation of energy-efficient solar systems for heating water in boiler houses of the republic.

The draft document stipulates joint provision by the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

- development of standard projects to improve the thermal protection of multi-storey residential buildings for the introduction of equipment for energy-saving technologies, including renewable energy sources;

- development of design estimates for the installation in 2021–2022 of energy efficient solar systems for heating water in boiler houses;

- it is also envisaged to ensure the examination of standard projects and design estimates for facilities.
