Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Polina Kudermetova has been eliminated from the WTA 1000 China Open in Beijing.
In the third round, Kudermetova faced the tournament’s fourth seed, Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva. Andreeva won the match 6-4, 6-1.
The match lasted 1 hour and 8 minutes.
Andreeva advanced to the fourth round of the tournament. Her next opponent will be the winner of the match between Ukraine’s Daria Snigur and Australia’s Tayla Preston.
The China Open is being held in Beijing on hard courts. The tournament has a US$9.4 million prize pool.
