New Tourism Complex to Be Developed Near Saikul Lake
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A new tourism complex is planned to be developed on the shores of Saikul Lake in the Amudarya district of Karakalpakstan. The project will include safari tours, recreational activities near the water and other forms of active tourism.
The complex is planned to feature five traditional national yurts, a dining area, a souvenir shop, a beach and fishing areas. The project also includes the necessary sanitary infrastructure.
Horseback riding and other outdoor activities will be organized for tourists. Another focus of the project will be safari tours through the region’s desert landscapes.
The tour operator has 10 off-road vehicles, which are planned to be used for excursions and trips allowing tourists to explore the region’s natural surroundings.
The project is aimed at developing domestic and inbound tourism, attracting new visitors and creating additional employment opportunities for local residents.
The development of the tourism complex is expected to increase the appeal of the Amudarya district for travelers and expand opportunities for the growth of Karakalpakstan’s tourism industry.
