Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — MyID, a biometric verification system developed by UZINFOCOM, has successfully passed independent testing by US laboratory iBeta Quality Assurance for compliance with the international ISO/IEC 30107-3 Level 2 standard, UZINFOCOM said.

As part of the testing, the system was assessed for its resistance to various identity spoofing attempts using fake facial artefacts. According to the test results, all attacks were successfully prevented, while genuine users continued to pass the verification process.

UZINFOCOM said MyID became the only domestically developed solution in Central Asia to successfully pass iBeta Level 2 testing. According to the company, the result confirms that the biometric technology developed in Uzbekistan meets international requirements.

iBeta Quality Assurance is an independent US laboratory accredited by NIST/NVLAP and specialising in the testing of biometric technologies.

The results of such tests are used by technology companies, financial institutions and regulators when assessing the reliability of biometric solutions.

For MyID, completing iBeta Level 2 testing represents another confirmation that the system meets international requirements in biometric verification.
