Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Artificial Intelligence Center in Balykchi district and reviewed its activities and startup projects developed by young people, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reported.
The center was established by Akademiya IT Star in accordance with a presidential resolution dated 26 February 2024 aimed at developing the export of digitalization services.
The 15 billion soum project provides for the creation of 100 jobs. The center also focuses on young people from rural areas, allowing them to acquire modern IT professions and practical skills without having to travel far from home.
Training is provided in marketing, programming and robotics. Students apply the knowledge they acquire while working on practical projects.
The center also provides services to local businesses. Entrepreneurs can receive IT services and consultations on business development using artificial intelligence. To date, such services have been provided to more than 500 business entities, with a total value of 8.5 billion soums.
The region continues to face high demand for IT specialists. More than 129,000 specialists are required for 65,000 business entities in the region, including SMM managers, mobile content creators, graphic designers, marketers, data analysts and artificial intelligence specialists. The center’s educational programs have been developed taking this demand into account.
The head of state reviewed startups developed by young people. During the meeting, young participants presented their initiatives and proposals for further developing Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem.
