Korzinka Wins Lease for 36 Paid Parking Lots in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Anglesey Food, the company operating the Korzinka supermarket chain, has won an auction for the lease of 36 plots of land in Tashkent to establish a network of paid parking lots. Information on the bidding results was published on the E-auksion electronic trading platform.
The auction took place on 13 July 2026. The bidding lasted for 9 hours and 28 minutes, involving 293 steps. As a result, the price of the lot increased by 15.65 times compared to the starting price.
The winner bid 20.948 billion soums for the single lot and has already made the payment. The next stage will be signing an agreement with the project client.
The municipal company Tashkent Invest put the plots up for auction in June 2026. The total area of the transferred territories is 3.99 hectares. They are located in ten districts of the capital and are leased to the private partner under a public-private partnership mechanism for a term of ten years.
According to the project terms, modern paid parking lots must be established on these sites, equipped with video surveillance systems using artificial intelligence technologies, LED screens displaying the number of free parking spaces, payment terminals, and an information system integrated with the city's Paid Parking system.
The project provides for the possibility of payment via terminals, bank cards, and electronic payment services. The minimum cost of parking is set at 10,000 soums per hour.
The project also envisages the implementation of a loyalty program for regular users. Meanwhile, the state partner, Tashkent Invest, will receive at least 10% of the revenue from the parking operations, and another 5% is planned to be transferred to the operator of the Paid Parking system.
All parking space organization projects must be agreed with the Tashkent Road Traffic Organization Center. Only lightweight, non-permanent structures are permitted on the allocated plots.
The minimum volume of private investment in the project's implementation is set at 10.85 billion soums.
According to the auction documentation, all 36 plots are located next to operating supermarkets of the Korzinka chain in the Almazar, Mirabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Sergeli, Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Shaykhantakhur, Yunusabad, Yakkasaray, and Yashnabad districts of Tashkent.
The creation of the parking network is part of a project to develop a system of paid roadside parking in the capital and is intended to provide centralized management of parking spaces using digital technologies.
