Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An official meeting was held at the Institute for Professional Development between the director of the institution, Khayot Kadyrov, and the Head of the UNESCO Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Sara Noshadi.
The central topic of the negotiations was the adaptation of advanced international experience for the deep modernization of the national system of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
During the dialogue, the parties discussed in detail a comprehensive set of measures aimed at increasing the professional potential of pedagogical workers, improving educational standards, and optimizing mechanisms for assessing the quality of training. Special emphasis was placed on integrating relevant programs for the development of digital competencies and "green" skills, which are highly demanded in the modern labor market, into the educational process.
In addition, Khayot Kadyrov and Sara Noshadi reviewed issues concerning the reform of domestic specialized institutions based on international standards and the introduction of a flexible system of micro-credentials, which allows for a prompt response to the demands of employers.
Expanding Uzbekistan's presence in the global UNESCO-UNEVOC network, as well as launching joint scientific research projects, was identified as an important vector of future interaction.
Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in a long-term partnership and outlined a roadmap for the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at bringing the republic's professional education system to a qualitatively new level.
