Football's Most Valuable Brands 2026: Real Madrid Leads at €2.4bn
Real Madrid CF is the world's most valuable football club brand in 2026, worth €2.398 billion, according to Brand Finance's Football 50 2026 report. The Spanish club retains the top position for a third consecutive year, ahead of FC Barcelona (€1.973bn) and Arsenal FC (€1.536bn), as the combined brand value of the world's 50 leading football clubs reached a record €23.9 billion — the strongest annual growth in the ranking's 15-year history.
Top 10 most valuable football club brands, 2026
The top 10 clubs alone account for €14.9 billion, more than 60% of the entire Football 50's value: Real Madrid CF (€2.398bn, +25%), FC Barcelona (€1.973bn, +15%), Arsenal FC (€1.536bn, +28%), FC Bayern Munich (€1.515bn, +21%), Paris Saint-Germain FC (€1.503bn, +10%), Manchester City FC (€1.481bn, +3%), Liverpool FC (€1.469bn, +5%), Manchester United FC (€1.438bn, +15%), Chelsea FC (€955M, -1%) and Borussia Dortmund (€664M, +8%).
Real Madrid also holds the highest Brand Strength Index (BSI) score in the report, 95.8 out of 100, the strongest of the 281 clubs Brand Finance analysed worldwide. Arsenal, whose value grew 28% following its first Premier League title in 22 years, overtook Manchester United to become the UK's strongest football club brand, with a BSI of 94.0.
Fastest-growing and declining brands
VfB Stuttgart recorded the largest increase of any club in the Football 50, almost doubling its brand value (+99%) to €183.5 million. Aston Villa FC, named Brand Finance's 2026 "Brand to Watch," grew 60% to €483.5 million following its first Champions League appearance in more than four decades. Among the top 10, Chelsea FC was the only club to lose value (-1% to €955M), while Juventus recorded the steepest confirmed decline of any club in the ranking (-17% to €419M).
Brand value by country
The United Kingdom accounts for 41.6% of the Football 50's total brand value and has 20 of the 50 clubs, followed by Spain (23.0%, 7 clubs), Germany (15.1%, 9 clubs), Italy (8.3%, 5 clubs), France (6.8%, 2 clubs), Portugal (2.8%, 3 clubs), the Netherlands (1.3%, 2 clubs) and Brazil (1.0%, 2 clubs).
League brand strength
The Premier League remains the world's strongest domestic football league brand, ahead of LALIGA, the Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
