Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Heavy rains on the evening of 1 October caused rainwater to enter yards and basement areas of some homes in parts of Tashkent region, according to the Tashkent Regional Department of Emergency Situations.
Cases of flooding were recorded at around 7:30 p.m.
In Bostanlyk district, water entered yards and basement areas of some homes in the Khondaylik and Khojaobod mahallas. Similar cases were reported in the V. Khaydarov and Iqbol mahallas of Chirchiq.
Territorial units of the Tashkent Regional Department of Emergency Situations promptly deployed the necessary personnel and equipment. Rescuers carried out operations to pump rainwater out of homes and streets.
Residents were urged to take precautions during heavy rains and avoid areas that may be affected by flooding.
