First plane with humanitarian aid for Afghanistan arrives in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - The United Nations Office for Refugees (UNHCR) delivered to Uzbekistan the first of three consignments of humanitarian cargo for Afghanistan. This was reported by the UNHCR in Central Asia.

The composition of the cargo includes essential items. The cargo, through the created logistics center in Termez, will be delivered by trucks to Mazar-i-Sharif through the border checkpoint “Termez-Hairaton”.

Representative of the UN Refugee Office Babar Baloch noted that the number of Afghans in need of assistance has reached 20 million and continues to increase every day.
