Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region and the Seongnam Special Industrial Zone of the Republic of Korea have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The agreement was reached during a working visit to South Korea by a regional delegation led by Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov.
The memorandum provides for expanding industrial cooperation, attracting modern technologies, jointly implementing investment projects and developing direct ties between entrepreneurs from the two regions.
In addition, businesses from Ferghana Region signed memoranda of cooperation with more than 10 companies operating in the Seongnam Special Industrial Zone.
During the visit, the delegation viewed an exhibition of products and innovative developments from companies based in the industrial zone.
The exhibition featured solutions in cosmetics, medicine, automotive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, educational technologies and logistics.
In particular, Fireworks and Daon Medical presented cosmetic products and modern medical devices, respectively. AI OnTech demonstrated technology solutions, Comfy presented footwear products, while BL Tech showcased automotive cameras and technological developments.
Presentations were also held on Romazing, an innovative language-learning platform using artificial intelligence technologies, and logistics solutions from Azetek.
The exhibition included direct B2B talks between entrepreneurs from Ferghana Region and representatives of South Korean businesses.
The sides discussed production cooperation, the exchange of technologies and expertise, access to the markets of the two countries and the launch of new investment projects.
Following the meetings, agreements were reached with a number of South Korean companies to implement joint projects in Ferghana Region across various areas.
