Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ferghana Region Hokim Khairullo Bozorov held a meeting with a Japanese delegation led by Ueda Kiyoshi, which included representatives of government institutions and major businesses.
The sides discussed promising areas for further cooperation.
The delegation also included entrepreneurs working in trade and the hospitality sector.
As part of the visit, the Japanese representatives visited Quva Agro Star LLC in Kuva district and familiarized themselves with the company’s operations.
The guests were shown the full production cycle, from growing agricultural products to their sorting, processing and packaging. The preparation of products in a ready-for-sale form was also demonstrated separately.
The meetings noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan is entering a new stage.
Particular attention was paid to the possibility of studying Japan’s experience in economic and social development, as well as modern approaches used in various sectors.
The sides also highlighted the importance of regular contacts and dialogue between the leaders of the two countries for further developing bilateral relations.
Following the meeting, new areas of cooperation between Ferghana Region and the Japanese side were identified.
