Farrukh Zakirov awarded Kazakhstan’s Dostyk Order II degree
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Kazakhstan has awarded the Dostyk (Friendship) Order, II degree, to Uzbek and Kazakh People’s Artist, and artistic director of the “Yalla” ensemble, Farrukh Zakirov. The award was presented by Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Beybut Atamkulov on behalf of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in recognition of the artist’s 80th birthday.
In a congratulatory message, President Tokayev highlighted Zakirov’s significant contribution to the development of culture and the strengthening of humanitarian ties between the peoples of the two countries.
According to the message, the artist has earned recognition from millions of listeners worldwide through his talent, energy and dedication. It was also emphasized that Zakirov’s work has united generations and cultures over decades, while the “Yalla” ensemble has become a notable cultural phenomenon of its time.
Kazakh authorities noted the high appreciation of Zakirov’s artistic legacy and the popularity of his songs, which have become part of the shared cultural heritage of the region.
Farrukh Zakirov expressed gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan for the high recognition of his creative work and attention to his anniversary. Earlier, President Tokayev also sent a congratulatory message marking the artist’s jubilee, once again highlighting his contribution to musical art and friendship between nations, and signed the decree awarding him the Dostyk Order, II degree.
